Wood block reduction print on newsprint, chipboard, & scrap wood.

Two houses from Oakland, California, are suspended side by side in the wetlands. One is an old Victorian, the other it's gentrified shell. Both blend into the background, ghosts in the coastal plains that once lay before them.

The inverse side of the piece reveals the wood block the image on the front was carved from. A gouged-out landscape remains, still slick with oil.
